I hope you’re all having a great spring! Despite the snow on the ground here in Vermont this morning, Gotta Camp HQ is buzzing with plans for summer.
In this email:
- 2021 Registration
- Safety Protocols
- First Time Campers
- Spread the word!
2021 Registration
Sessions are about half full so if you have not yet registered, now’s the time! The Early Bird 10% Discount is extended to April 30th and we will continue to omit the registration deposit for the rest of this month as well. If you would like to apply for financial assistance, check out our Tuition page. The deadline for that is May 1st!
Summer 2021 Sessions
Overnight Session 1 at Camp Pride: July 25-30
Overnight Session 2 at Brewster Academy: August 8-13
Sessions are open to any kiddo going into 5th-9th grade. For Session 2 this summer, we are happy to welcome returning Gotta Campers going into 10th grade as well! There are so many things we all missed out on in 2020, at least they can still have their final summer as a Gotta Camper.
Safety Protocols
I have been working closely with our host sites to determine COVID-19 safety protocols. The current plans are posted on the Registered Campers page, please take a moment to review those. Please note, these may change!! I will do my best to call out any updates in both the Gotta Parents Group on Facebook, and the Director’s Desk blog on our website.
First Time Campers
Attending a new camp for the first time may feel exciting, or even scary, or somewhere in between–and that’s totally normal! If your child will be new to Gotta Camp this summer, check out our First Time Campers page! An overview of what to expect, links to resources, tips to set you up for success, and a super-fun video our alums and staffers created just for first timers to learn one of our camp songs ahead of time! (Also serves as a very handy refresher for returning campers!)
Spread the Word!
As always, a loving and grateful reminder that our BEST marketing is word of mouth. One of the biggest little things you can do to help ensure the ongoing success of our camps is to spread the word to potential new campers. If you know of other families who would love Gotta Camp, tell them! Post in your local parent groups! Forward this email to your entire address book! Thank you!
Despite the challenges we’ve all been given over the past year, and the continued caution and extra planning needed moving forward, I am really so excited for everything we’ve got planned for our Gotta Campers this summer, and I can’t wait to see you there!
All my best,
Lou McKenna
